Teledentistry
All visits start with a teledentistry consult with the pediatric dentist. We feel like this is a good way for us to get acquainted with you and for you to get acquainted with us. We will review medical history, habits, oral hygiene, nutrition, as well as any concerns you may have. For some patients a teledentistry consult is all that is required. For others, a house-call with the pediatric dentist will be scheduled. Some emergencies may not be able to be handled by a house-call, if this is the case we will guide you regarding further steps.
Dental Check-up Visit
The pediatric dentist will visit your home with all the necessary PPE and sterilized dental equipment to examine your child and perform any services that may be required. This may include cleanings, X-rays, and fluoride treatment.
Dental Cavity Visit
Some children may have some decay or other oral health issue that may require intervention. The pediatric dentist will provide treatment to help stop the progression of the issue and will go over tactics at home to prevent recurrence. We believe in minimally invasive dentistry that addresses cavities in a conservative manner ("no-drilling”).
Dental Emergency Visit
Whether your child has fallen or is complaining of pain, an emergency house-call visit can be arranged. At this visit an examination and any necessary X-rays will be taken. The pediatric dentist may place a medication or temporary filling to help prevent or manage pain and/or infection. We strive to see emergency patients within 24-48 hours.
